The situation

Buildings with large roofs, whether industrial or not, generallyare covered with bituminous sheathing or corrugated sheets resting on Y-beams. This has always been the most economical and therefore most widespread solution for covering large roof spans.

The problem

This method has some limitations. The bitumen sheath is overlaid roll-to-roll and welded. The welding point with the freeze-thaw cycle (typical of the changing seasons) and UV radiation tends to be damaged over the years. In the case of roofs with corrugated sheets on Y-beams, the latter in concrete tend to suffer with the passage of time and show signs of significant damage

The solution

Reveal new (the best option) or decades-worn roofs with a special resin system patented by Fiprokim.
. The resin acts as protective for the concrete of Y-beams and bituminous sheathing.
. In the case of the latter, however, the resin system being elastic is able to interact with the sheathing system avoiding cracking and damage as much as possible.
