Driveable Resin Floor

A technical solution designed to withstand vehicular traffic, heavy loads, and continuous mechanical stress, ensuring resistance, safety, and durability in industrial and logistics environments.

Lift

The resin flooring is designed to support the passage of vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and industrial machinery, even in the presence of concentrated loads and heavy traffic.

1

Stability

The continuous resin surface ensures stable behavior under braking, vibrations, and repeated maneuvers, reducing the risk of deformations and deterioration over time.

2

Protection

The high impermeability of the system protects the substrate from oils, fuels, water, and chemical agents, preserving the structural integrity of the floor.

What is a resin trafficable floor?

A resin driveable floor is a technical flooring designed to work under continuous vehicular traffic, in contexts where mechanical stresses are high and constant. Unlike traditional asphalt or concrete, the resin system creates a continuous surface, without joints or seams subject to breaking.

RPM Italy produces driveable pavements using high-performance resin cycles, designed to ensure load-bearing capacity, adhesion, and durability even in the presence of vibrations, impacts, braking, and repeated loads.

Based on the type of traffic, the environment, and the operating conditions, RPM Italy selects the most suitable trafficable system.

Why choose a resin driveable floor

Choosing a driveable resin floor means adopting a solution designed to withstand high mechanical stresses without compromising the continuity and protection of the substrate. The absence of joints reduces the typical weak points of traditional flooring, while the resin protects the subfloor from infiltrations and aggressive agents. The result is a durable surface, easy to maintain, and capable of ensuring safety and reliability even in harsh operating conditions.

Where a resin trafficable floor is used

The resin flooring solutions from RPM Italia are applicable in all contexts where there is constant vehicular traffic or internal movement of vehicles.

The application in the industrial and logistics sector

They are particularly suitable for loading and unloading areas, handling aisles, driveways, indoor and outdoor parking lots, industrial yards, logistics departments, and warehouses with continuous forklift traffic. Wherever a durable, continuous, and reliable surface is required, the trafficable resin applied by RPM Italia represents an effective technical solution.

How a driveable resin floor is made

The implementation begins with a careful preparation of the substrate, through grinding or shot blasting of the concrete, to ensure the correct adhesion of the system. After the application of the primer, the selected resin cycle is laid — multilayer, screed, polyurethane, or MMA — calibrating thicknesses and performances based on the expected traffic. The final surface is continuous, robust, and designed to withstand high loads and intense stresses over time.

Preliminary analysis of the environment

Every project starts with a technical inspection during which the existing support, environmental conditions, and usage methods of the floor are analyzed to identify the most suitable resin system and to prevent future issues.

Preparation of the substrate

Targeted mechanical processing, such as sanding, grinding, and shot blasting, is carried out to prepare the concrete substrate, or of another type, which is essential to ensure the adhesion of the resin cycle and the durability of the flooring.

2)

Execution of complementary works

Before or during the installation of the resin floor, complementary works are carried out, namely drainage supports, perimeter edges, and skirting boards. These elements help to complete the environment and facilitate cleaning and sanitization.

3)

Application of the resin cycle

Based on the required performance, the installation of the resin floor is carried out following specific cycles. We calibrate thicknesses, finishes, and slip resistance to achieve a continuous, safe, and durable surface.

Final inspection and commissioning

Once the curing cycle is completed, and thus the catalysis of the product, the surface is ready to be used. At the end of the application, the floor is checked in every detail to ensure safety, continuity, and compliance with the project.

Certifications and technical documentation

6)

At the end of the work, RPM Italia provides the client with the technical documentation related to the applied system, including the certifications required for each sector, to support the needs for monitoring and managing the flooring over time.
